We are thrilled to share that Nina Crews will be at the 2026 Hudson Children's Book Festival! Here are some fun facts about this phenomenal author/illustrator:
1. I love looking at art and one of my favorite books as a kid was The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. I thought it would be fun to live in the museum like those kids did.
2. I love looking at the moon, but I wouldn’t want to live there. It is either too hot or too cold and there is nothing green and growing.
3. My living room is filled with plants, and I love green growing things.
See you Saturday!

We're so happy to have Dana Mele join us at the 15th annual Hudson Children's Book Festival! Here are some fun facts about this amazing YA author:
1. When I was a child, I lived in Germany for a bit. My very best friend went off to boarding school but was so homesick she returned—she even gave me her uniform. That’s when I started reading boarding school books and my first book is set at one!
2. I have a Lord of the Rings tattoo in elvish that means the word “friend”—in the book that word is a secret password, and my friends and I use it as our own secret word to drop everything and be there for each other!
3. My first favorite book series was The Babysitters Club. I had every book in the series and my favorite character was Kristy.
See you on May 2!
